fun stuff. i made a batch last night and got a good effect from it. i'm using isopropyl alcohol to extract the oil and a rice cooker to evaporate it down and a slow cooker to finish the reduction without burning it off. you can get 99% isopropyl from amazon but i just went for the 91% from the shelf at wal-mart. initially i was informed that isopropyl was not recommended but nowadays there are numerous threads on the internet claiming it to be acceptable now. i would rather be using grain alcohol but i don't have a convenient source. next time maybe
