Yeast in bladder-not candida-would like nurse response

Hi,

I am a quad due to transverse myelitis. I started having symptoms I usually associate with UTI about 2 weeks ago. Pain in bladder (intermittant) then profound fatigue and loss of muscle strength plus increased neuropathy. I have an SP tube (almost 8 years now) and after two cultures with new tubes taken a week apart, it showed no UTI but a yeast present, not candida, less than 10,000 count. My urologist does not think the yeast requires treatment because the count is so low, but thinks the problem may be bladder spasms as my last botox was 5 months ago. My urine is clear and I'm taking D-mannose regularly plus cranberry. All my bloodwork is normal. Urologist says flushing catheter with sterile water regularly may help clear unwanted particles bladder.

My question is- could the small amount of yeast be responsible for this fatigue and weakness? I'm trying to get my strength back but get winded and exhausted quickly. I have an appointment for botox but it is a month away. Any information would be so helpful and would help my piece of mind.

Thanks!
