Peristeen..Enemas..Transanal irrigation..retrograde irrigation: alternatives, what's to know ??
I'm totally new and naive to this subject, but after using the Peristeen a few times, I'm kind of curious.
In my experience so far.
1. It's not totally magic for me so far.
2. It works well enough that I want to continue, practice and improve my technique.
3. It's quicker, and leaves me a lot cleaner than digital stimulation. (my average digital stimulation time is 60 mins + )
After using it, it really isn't that complicated, like I said I never really knew what an enema was, never gave it a great amount of thought.
The whole Peristeen thing seemed kind of magical, and all the good reviews etc.
But really:-
we're just putting about 500ml-1000ml of warm water in the lower bowel and waiting 20 minutes.(ok I haven't got it that finely tuned, but getting there)
Because the Peristeen is so hard to obtain, and is so expensive. Plus the foley balloon is so delicate it makes re-using somewhat limited. I started to try and engineer my own balloon onto a used Peristeen catheter once the balloon had burst. Think finger of a nitril glove held in place by the rubber drain hose of a night bag, it's the perfect size and holds it in place just fine. Early reports are it has been successful!
The glorious wonders of the internet, let me know that folks get off on this kind of thing and use it for pleasure, porn actors use it, to be clean for their shoots(pun), and of course there is a myriad of kinky porn using it. The plus side, there is a ton of equipment out there, and video's on how to use it. The costs aren't so outrageous, and some of the products are really well manufactured.
So I'm wondering if anyone has thought about or tried some of these products, they look pretty well made and are not crazy expensive.

This device, really has me interested. $70 on ebay.
A double balloon to really make a good seal before injecting fluid looks very promising and all made from silicone so a good possibitlity for re-use.
