The interesting part for me is near the end where they talk about irrigating your bladder with an antibiotic. Starting around 1990 when I have been given an antibiotic I save 1 or 2 pills and will disolve them in a large bottle of saline. If I feel a UTI coming on I flush and clamp off my SP for 15 minutes or so with the solution which helps was my bladder out. Every time I have mentioned this practice on here I get all kinds of backlash about how you shouldn't irrigate your bladder.

Once a day, after draining the bladder, a 30 ml. solution of gentamycin is infused and left in the bladder. This has the advantage of having no systemic effect but good efficacy in the bladder.?
