Advice on manual wheelchair transport in a vehicle at chair config time

Hi Folks, Greg from Abiliquip, we make the Abiloader and some other products - search for this and you'll see plenty of hits.

Do you get asked at the time you pick a chair how you will move it in a car? Seems to me this is the time your mobility should be figured fully.

At that time you should know that the Abiloader can stow and retrieve your chair, and if its a suitable product its good to allow for that in the way the chair is configured.

In New Zealand, I train the chair specialists to know when to ask, and how it can impact on the decisions.

To me, vehicular mobility should be right on the top of the list of places you will want to go, even early in the rehab assessment, interested if this happens!

I'm looking for dealers in some locations around the US, handy to know who else I should also be working with in the way of driving assessors and rehab people. Feel free to nominate exceptional mobility equipment installers with enthusiasm and drive!

Greg, Director of Abiliquip.
