I've been bedbound now for 5 months. I've used a Quickie GTI for 6 years, but due to progression of my CRPS/RSD and circulation problems in my legs, I need a new wheelchair that can elevate my legs.
For now I'm literally stuffing a sliding board between my cushion and seat, and balancing my legs on that out in front of me (quite an accomplishment) or using a scooter board on the floor to scoot around the house.
I LOVE my rigid titanium frame, but I haven't found any rigid frames with leg elevation options. I don't want a power wheelchair yet. I'm willing to consider folding frames if necessary, though they aren't my first choice. If my condition improves as time goes on, I want to be able to transfer independently into and out of my car. I know my new chair will need to last a solid 7 years, so I want to make a good choice.
Ideas, anyone? THANKS!
