Something is wrong and I don't know what it is. About a month ago I had a procedure to remove bladder stones. I have an sp tube. After the procedure my urologist told me that I have a gallstone that he noticed on the ultrasound. He said that I don't need to do anything about it unless I have symptoms.
Three days ago I tried to change my sp tube and it wouldn't come out. I was changing it because it became clogged and wasn't draining at all. I went to the ER and the nurse was able to get it out. She said that my abdomen was spasming so bad that it was holding it in place. She told me to lay flat so that it would relax my muscles. It worked. The catheter was filled with a white milky substance that the nurse said was castes. They tested my urine and said that there was no infection.
The problem is, since I left that day the spasms are not going away. They are so strong that they literally stiffen my entire torso. When it happens my head starts pounding and I break out into cold sweats. Then it lets up and comes back. Sometimes I'll get lucky and there will be a good amount of time that passes before it starts up again. At one point I thought that maybe it is over, but it acted up again. I called my urologist and he prescribed Hyoscyamine to help with the spasms. They work for a few hours and then I am right back to where I started. I have called the office every day, and they don't seem to be concerned. Instead, I fell like I am being a thought of as a nuisance. Here I am now at 2 in the morning experiencing the same thing yet again. It is so uncomfortable. Does anyone know what this could be? Does it sound familiar at all? Please, anyone?
