My wife has a Tilite ZRA w/ "4x1 5 spoke 2 piece alum / soft roll tires" (came w/ the chair from sportaid). Not sure what brand they are (frog legs?). They're fine at home/smooth ground, but she's in constant fear outdoors since any little rock/crack will stop her in her tracks. And it's worse on bad sidewalks, cobblestone, etc. Not fun.
She has the slipstream uni-forks, which AFAIK only take up to 5" casters (not 6"). From what little I've read (just starting to research all this stuff), seems like the 5 will be a little better rolling over things. The 6 might be even better, but I fear they might be too sluggish turning indoors, and she might hate them.
So my plan now is to get the 5 x 1.4" frog legs (http://ift.tt/1K0BpDr) with soft-roll, hopefully that will make outdoors a little less scary. And then maybe add the frog-legs suspension forks as well (again, to make outdoor bumps/cracks/rocks less threatening).
Is getting the 5 casters now a good idea? Are they noticeably more sluggish indoors than the 4's? Would it be better to get 4's + suspension forks? Or should I stick w/ my plan and just get 5 casters now, and upgrade to suspension forks in a bit?
Just looking for general advice before I pull the trigger. I'm sure I'll have a ton of other questions I'll be posting soon (wheelchair backs, sedan recommendations, etc).
Thanks for any feedback! And I'm going to continue to search through older posts here as I have time, there's a ton of good stuff here.

Thinking of putting 5x1.4 FLAHSR casters on the Tilite ZRA - other recommendations?
