I deleted the previous thread if you had read it to make it shorter. And if you did read it you know why I am asking.
All year I was in and out of the hospital and nursing home. During most of the time I had a foley catheter in and at one of those times I decided to lay on my stomach which I thought I would be fine. I wasn't as it backed up on me and caused me to shake, throw up and my temp to rise very quickly.
When I decided to lay on my stomach I did not let the nurse know. There were no kinks with the tube when I checked but it backed up on me anyway.
Can this be a common accurance when laying on the stomach with a foley in?
I straight cath on a regular so foley catheters are not normal for me.
